This temple is one among the six Padaiveedu's of Lord Muruga. Thai Poosam and Panguni Uthiram festivals are very famous festivals and large number of devotees coming here at that time. 38 sub-temples are attached with this temples. It belongs to 9th century and the king namely Cheraman Peruman constructed this temple.

The Soundarraja Perumal Temple in Thadikombu, a beautiful village 10 km south of Dindigul, is considered to be as sacred as the Kallazhagar Temple near Madurai. Arulmighu Soundarraja Perumal is found in the sleeping posture in this temple and it is said this place was previously known as Thaalamaapuri. Though it is a Vaishnava temple, the sthala vriksha is the vilva tree.
The Kamarajar Lake and Kamarajar Sagar Dam are located at Athoor village. The lake is sprawls across 400 acres and overlooks the Western Ghats. The area surrounding the lake and the dam is sprawling with banana plantations, coconut trees, cardamom estates and coracles.
The Christ the King Church is located near Coaker’s Walk in Kodaikanal. The church is constructed of granite. Build in the colonial era the church has a clear influence of colonial architecture in the form of glass windows and art works. The church is a prime attraction among tourists.
Abirami Amman Temple is dedicated to Goddess Abirami Amman. Located at the centre of the city the temple is thronged by devotees during Navratri festival. During Navratri, the famous Kolu is kept in the temple. During this time, the priests of the temple perform over 1 lakh archanas in dedication to the Goddess of the temple. During the Tamil month of Adi, the Goddess is taken on a possession on a pallak made of flower on all Fridays.
Begambur Big Mosque, a shrine built over 300 years ago, was one of the three mosques built by Hyder Ali in Dindigul. Situated in Begambur, this mosque and the surroundings are named in the memory of Hyder Ali's sister. Being the more popular mosques, a lot of tourists come here to see the tomb of Ameer-un-Nisha and to offer prayers at the shrine. This mosque has two towering minarets and a simple Namaaz area.
St. Joseph’s Church at the heart of the town is known for its vast space and the famous architecture which is evident from the glass works and special artistic work all over the church. The church was built between 1866 and 1872. It is the head quarters of Dindigul diocese of Roman Catholic Churches in Dindigul.
The specialty is the spring, the source of which could not be traced. The spring water is tasty and is available in hot, cold and normal temperature at various places with in the temple which surprises the devotees.
